Well, the way things are going, maybe manyoo won't!

As it happens, before I exiled myself to SW19 I had been brought up to support City, so I would always be blue rather than red :-) So it's a no-win situation either way, just have to forget the match is even being played, and move on.

Did you hail from Manchester itself?

would have been tough being a blue in a united heartland like Surrey

Agreed, jc. Until his retirement due to ill-health I could hardly remember a winter Saturday when he hadn't been reading the scores on Sports Report. I don't think he ever got to read his ideal scoreline (IIRC): Forfar 4 East Fife 5.

            RIP.

[Surprised at Caley Thistle's lofty position in the Scottish Premiership. I think Celtic will cure their altitude sickness this Saturday though....]

indeed had he not just retired last week or a month ago .....

a very satisfactory result last night against Burnley [1-3] with Fabregas demonstrating his class and Costa scoring 17 minutes in to his Premier League & Chelsea career; early days yet but a good start

Yes, Chelsea's 2nd was Fabrulous stuff, a classic cushion&clip half-volley and crisp finish... second half a pragmatic easing-off.
Chelsea already seem to be moving better than last year (unlike Liverpool where Gerrard looked heavy & flatfooted on Sunday. I hope Rogers knows how he's going to use Lallana. Only one game, but left me more, not less, worried about Suarez' absence. Maybe back for 2015-16?

Already getting the tingles about next Monday...!

                    Midweek forum update -

Burnley 1 Chelsea 3. Sublime Fabregas moment set up the 2nd goal, top 4 already looking familiar.
Leeds United 0 Brighton 2. Late 2nd goal ensured first points of the season.
Sheffield Wednesday 1 Millwall 1. Conceded in the last minute.
Coventry City 2 Barnsley 2. All the goals in the 1st half.
Hartlepool United 0 Dagenham and Redbridge 2. Worrying start to the season, still to get off the mark.
Southend United 0 Wimbledon 1. Another good away win, great start to the season.
Hereford United 1 Banbury 0. Points secured with 2nd half goal.
Truro City 2 Hungerford Town 1.Good start,2nd win of the season.

YES!!!!! Coventry City are coming home.

From Sept 5th Home Games will return to the Ricoh Arena

Sky have got in there and moved that game from Saturday to Friday night, which might reduce the crowd for our first home game back home. Well I hope we get a good crowd >15k

Just excellent news. Lets hope the Sky Blues can launch a promotion bid now they are back at a proper home.

When Balotelli grows up, he might not be such a good player.

Not sure if Balotelli is great news for Liverpool.

I agree with you on both counts, edge
Seems Rodgers likes to play with trouble!
I wouldn't be surprised to see Coventry auto promoted this season!
