I can understand that, but it isn't about the manager, but about the team, the club and thousands of fans.

Perhaps it would have been a source of Schadenfreude that it was Steve Bruce's son, Alex, whose stupid foul on the edge of the area led to Arsenal's first goal which got them back in the match.

I was sorry for Hull as they played well, especially the centre-back Davies who really should have got the man of the match award ahead of Ramsey who was ineffectual for most of it. They needed to win in normal time though as they looked completely shattered in the extra half-hour.

The Scottish Cup final was also a good game. I had had a small punt on the underdogs St Johnstone so was pleased to see the men from Perth triumph, and deservedly.

Great game at Celtic Park, Anna - terrific atomosphere - Utd could have been there till midnight and not got the ball in the net. The kid-on Saints worked really hard - excellent manager they've got, and well deserved the trophy. The omens were all with them, written on the entrails of a stale steak and gravy peh!

Indeed. Real have on it enough times. I remember watching the great 1958 final v. AC Milan. My dad wanted Milan to win because of Franco.
