Hiya Brassbandmaestro, You are in a far more optimistic mood than I am. I'm very loath to say it but it's mid-table for Man Utd this season.

I was due to go to the game with my son and some friends but a recent operation ensured that I had to let my ticket go. Probably as well owing to the terrible performance from United. The Fergie factor is missing and I reckon this was worth a couple of goals at home and maybe one goal away.
And you would have thought that Utd v Spurs would be a great game, with us coming away with the three points

ah trouble in t'stand at Edgeley Park

The message, left at Stockport County's Edgeley Park ground, tells "the two guys in black leather jackets" that they should wash because their odour is "ruining the experience" for others

Thanks as ever ER, and well done County. All or nothing with them it seems.

Well done winners, bad luck losers.
Good to see Wrexham putting one over bad tempered Aldershot.

Dreadfully sad to seeing the passing of the great Eusebio - what a player! I suppose one of the great memories of him is that classic North Korea - Portugal 3-5 game in 1966; but alongside Pele, for me, he also represented a really important international image of the game in the 60s. A hero.
