I once spent a fantastic afternoon at Ashton Gate, for some inexplicable reason amongst the Wrexham fans, watching a 4-4 draw in the cup.
Boy those fans were loud...and a great game. !!

The house I was brought up in was quite close to the Racecourse and if the wind was in the right direction it was always possible to hear when a goal was scored - my dad became quite proficient at discerning when it was a home and when it was an away goal too

leicester City 0 Dirty Leeds 0. Hmmm.

An amazing afternoon at Sixfields where Coventry beat Bristol city 5-4, in front of a crowd of just 2200, a boycott being in place by many Cov fans.

I had a fiver on the 0-0 score so feeling pretty pleased with that.

Not long for you to wait now, Sainty.

ag, a nice little return there Alison. Canny on the footy as well as the nags.

Wait......I LIKE the close season....no footy nerves !!

Saints seem to be shambling into the season in time honoured fashion !!

Yes, the unthinkable happened, a home game in Northampton. Quite a thriller (I listened to much of it on BBC local radio) and a very unexpected result. Both sides very nervy at the back!

About 1200 Cov fans at Sixfields. Meanwhile at the same time over at the 'old home', the Ricoh, a Cov Legends Charity match drew about 8,000 !

(the charity match had been arranged before the 'home' match switched from Saturday to Sunday. Makes me wonder who insisted on the switch?

When EdgeleyRob gets back he can catch up with the news that an ex Stockport player got the winner for England against Scotland .

Bloody Lambert ...mind you it was a goal worthy of winning most games. Good game too - they should run it more often.

If some of the current County defenders were eligible for us we might have just about snatched a win ...

Surreal numbers of plump middle-aged blokes in kilts all around the centre of London today!
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                            Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

You've obviously never witnessed the St Patrick's Day Parade in New York, Cal ...
