well done on getting tix, Gurney, hope its a great day.
Banning the crystal girls is a disgrace.
I have seen few finer sights at a British football ground than the girls and the Eagle mascots all dancing together, as a REAL eagle swooped around the joyous throng.
Absolute magic.
Thanks for those words from a neutral. I hope a certain amount of bluster on my part and the adoption (temporary, I promise) of a partisan Eagles avatar will not prove to be hubris leading to a fall. After our lack-lustre finishing run, we hardly deserve to be in the play-offs, let alone going up.
Scarborough is quite a different matter. They have ceased to exist. A new club was formed by fans - Scarborough Athletic - but they have no ground, so share with Bridlington town. At present they're slowly working their way up, rather like AFC Wimbledon and the "new" Accrington Stanley.
That's why I suggested Donny rather than Scarborough as the role model. Apart from the Blades this season has been kind to Yorkshire sides - Bradford City starting the climb back, Hull promoted and various others showing survival tactics in their leagues and Rotherham promoted. SW interest in the Championship with Yeovil's promotion today.
Yes, congratulations to Yeovil, who continue to confound the money men. What a story. it is a real football town, and good luck to them in the Championship. If anybody can succeed it is Gary Johnson.
2 divisions above p****mouth.
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Ah,fond memories of the McCain Stadium.
Nice to hear they are on the way back.

...and 2 divisions above p**mouth but hopefully their ex-Owl hero manager will phoenix them next season.
...and of course we need another phoenix job for Truro City back in the 6th tier.
Kilmarnock 1 St Mirren 3. Chelsea 2 Everton 1.
Liverpool 1 QPR 0. Newcastle United 0 Arsenal 1. Southampton 1 Stoke City 1.
Swansea City 0 Fulham 3.
Can't miss gurnemanz' big day tomorrow Rob, but thanks for the wonderful job you've handled through the season - you are without a doubt, the James Alexander Gordon of the Round Ball Game.
Buddies finished the season with a nice wee three pointer, though up here Hearts may yet go down with the late appearance of administration on the horizon - could lose a third of their points which would send them below Dundee - Edinburgh lawyers rubbing hands for a summer outing once more, I suspect.
Good luck to Crystal Palace, though I have yet to determine where Crystal is - have a great day out, g.

Reason: 5-5 - what a score from two forever Buddies!

Not high on my wish list, Cloughie, TBF !!
Good luck to Truro, it would be great one day to have a league club in Cornwall.
I honestly think Truro could easily support a L1 or 2 club with county wide support. look at Yeovil !

I echo the thanks to Rob for his service.
Thanks for the good wishes re Palace. We have to wait till Monday week (Bank Holiday) not tomorrow for the big day.
In order to confuse the unwary, Crystal Palace is of course not at Crystal Palace but at Selhurst.
