I think it was only the barge that was a howler....I thought the defender who went up with Muller(?) to head across to Gomez fell in a way to put Gomez on side....and Bayern should have had a handball penalty I think....great game, really enjoyed seeing Barce dismantled....why did Barce not use their sub's bizarre....??

awesome display by Bayern .... that Barca could not score just one away goal will seriously reduce their chances in their home leg

Nice to see a few of the Barce knocked up into the ai[teehee]....soimething very wrong going on there....all the usual players failing to penetrate....in fact just passing around outside box....onlyAlves seemed to want to get on with it....Almost like a 'work to rule' by rest Xavier just wall passing nothing else....I think Neil Warnock might get a call to motivate them....Bayern scored 3 in most BundeL games only lost once,Champions 6 games in hand....

I think it may come down to fitness as well as tactics Rob....any team playing Barce, Real Madrid, Spain know now they have to be at top fitness to constantly be right up in the tickytackies faces for 90 minutes....in another way Barce and etc have been desensitised to the amount of fitness , reaction time and mental tenacity to play the old style physical game but at a higher tempo....The defensive shape of a team playing tickytacky is wide open to a team that can quickly exploit the space....Though Bayerns goals came mostly from set pieces....where these short (low centre of gravity) nimble players are completely at a disadvantage....All very interesting to me....

Not sure, but will be more than a Blue Square North manager.
When we won the league 2 play off final in 2008 our manager was reputed to be on £250,000 p.a.
Probably why we are where we are now.

8th, I thought this was a crackin' article about Thomas Müller, the Raumdeuter, by Barney Ronay in the Guardian a couple of weeks ago.
Barney Ronay: Germany midfielder has invented his own role with a supernatural power to find space that is invisible to mere mortals

Barca will be back. Having a 5th choice CB against a superb side like Bayern is trouble.
Even the best teams get it wrong, (remember the 6-3 and the" wrong shirts" match fergie?) and the signs were all there before half time. Fabregas should have been used earlier.
All that said, the second was offside IMO, and the third was a killer, and should simply not have stood. The pitch was a disgrace.

Too many games ruined by poor decisions .

Wrexham have given themselves a chance, but Kidderminster are stronger at home. Wrexham away have been pretty good too

At least we're not playing Luton this time, as in 2011 and 2012, when we lost

Gerd Müller, another Bayern and (West) German player, wasn't bad either in the 70s.

Not forgetting this great 'Ghostie' of Spurs and Scotland, who went long before his time.
