Southampton 1-0 up having been second best so far, funny old game.
            Two Stockport legends playing too.

Ah, but not second best now. Should be at least 2-0.

              (Who are the Stockport legends?)

Reading should have been 3-0 up before Saints scored.
Southampton have been on top though since they got the goal.
Ricky Lambert and Adam le Fondre (missed a sitter btw) are ex Stockport players, they were excellent for us.

Yes, have to feel a bit sorry for Reading. Many refs would have given the penalty and Sir Geoff's granny would have put away Le Fondre's chance.

That's Boycott btw, although the other Sir Geoff's granny would have done so as well.

Nothing going Reading's way, which is good for the forum football stats.

That is what happens when you miss chances at that level.

Reading did well for half an hour, but the Le Fondre miss came from a lucky rebound, and Joss got the ball on the penalty shout.
I am not wasting too much sympathy on Reading. They nicked the championship (on the back of a wonder run), and they failed to strengthen their team much over last summer. Fatal at Pl level.

Edit: I know that isn't in the spirit of the board !! shame, nearest thing we we have to a derby at present.

HUGE win for Stockport, fate in own hands and other cliches. Results went pretty nicely for them.
