Since Danny Lennon took over the hotseat in Paisley he's played his namesake Neil's outfit 8 times and managed no wins and no goals with about 25 scored by the Hoops. Still the Buds go marchin' in to Hampden for a league cup semi today for the honour of facing the Jambos in the final. Come on you Saints!!!

Very best of luck, JC. Something has to give, and today may be the day. Will be watching closely on this one.

Made the mistake of thinking we were going in one up and blinkin' Hooper pops up again - they should have taken that bid from Norwich. Good game - we should be ahead.
Good result for Brentford though Calum probably doesn't think so - maybe he thinks it was a good result for the blueskis.

Although I am not a Seagull fan(but [perhaps I should be, being not far), it's a pity they did'nt beat Arsenal! 3-2 Arsenal!

Yes congratulations jc and St Mirren.
Thoroughly deserved from what I hear.
That cup will look great in the forum trophy cabinet, here's hoping.

Brentford 2 Chelsea 2.Great to see Griffin Park full,it never was when I went there (there's a pub on every corner of the ground btw).

...and big Jim Goodwin was a rock at the back, Rob. Actually the result doesn't seem such a shock after everything else this weekend - can't understand why I ever doubted the Buddies.

Once the dust has settled after this weekend's fun, the eight quarter final teams could still end up including Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton. And as for Luton v Millwall, a game which resonates loudly with those who recall the days of unbridled hooliganism.
