Shame to loose one of the only managers who I can actually understand during post match interviews....

well the roads are impassable...I shall raid Mrs TS's sewing basket and see what we have to work with !!
She will help with the technical bits , I am sure.

After all she was with me at places like Orient and Palace on the way up the leagues with Nige. What holidays those were !!

I'm absolutely astonished by the news about Adkins. Obviously taking a team from League 1 to the Premiership in successive seasons, and with a fair chance of consolidating a place in that league (while playing an entertaining style of football) was not good enough.

Chelsea, Stockport, Saints...What will be the next board team to suffer a change of manager? I think ER should open a book on it....

Modern football's attitude to the fans part 193. Sky is currently broadcasting Leicester v Middlesborough. An entertaining enough game, pitch playable if not perfect. But there is hardly anyone in the stadium because Leicester, like much of the country, is in gridlock due to the inclement weather. Would the game have gone ahead if it wasn't scheduled to be televised ? Amazingly there are a handful of 'boro fans there. God only knows when ( if ? ) they will get back home.

                    Good point, well made, Zola.

That is why i behave like a customer , not a fan, these days.

Thos boro fans should get a free ticket or something.

I have no reason to wish Saints ill but I now hope they go down.

Tomorrow Palace welcome the renegade Dougie Freedman back to Selhurst with his new friends, Notlob. He was popular with Eagles fans, both as player and manager and his departure is still somewhat clouded in mystery. I wonder what reception he will get.

Well Gurney, you aren't the first person to I have heard express that view, but you don't have to look far in football (or in the PL table) to see examples of clubs , boards or managers whose behaviour is, sadly every bit as bad.
Why did Pardew get an 8 year contract? Redknapp? who are the new owners of Reading, are they squeaky clean? and so on.
                        its just a dirty business.
NA will walk out with a lottery win sized pay off, a great reputation , and will get a good job. Shame though, the teams football was a joy to watch, and his attitude is great.

If the likes of Di Matteo and Adkins are losing their jobs who knows which one will be next?

Big games coming up, but perhaps not today!

Tomorrow sees United taking on Spurs in North London and the massive London Derby of Chelsea and Arsenal.

Southampton's gallant players and indefatigable, resilient, loyal fans battle on, despite what the powers that be can through at them; they have a tough test on Monday at home to the Toffees.

                            Enjoy!

They don't come much bigger than Stockport v Forest Green, although I'm not sure if it's still on.
Quite a few lower league games are postponed.

well I hope there's a game, and that you get there.
If any FGR fans get there, they can enjoy some proper footy ground food !!
