First goal was a handball...we hit the bar...should have had a pen...but for all that we just look out of our depth defensively.
Money poorly spent in the summer...very early to have a must win game , but swansea at home on Saturday is close to it.
The PL is a very bad place for an underprepared team......

Poor Sainty. I so hope Nigel doesn't lose his job.

Thanks Alison. That is footy. One door closes, another one slams in your face! looks like I have tickets for Saturday too......
Nige is a good guy, has done wonders for us...but in the PL there are many and strange forces at work....

Who'd've believed it? An 18 year old running on and scoring the winner against Barca - 'tic deserved something in the away leg but that was quite a result tonight - great display of goalkeeping by the Englishman between the sticks, Forster.

Superb result, john ... some mighty teams have fallen to the Hoops in Glasgow during their incredible European home record but Messi & Co must surely be 'the icing on the cake' (hope that phrase has no effect on any members' teeth!)

                  Maybe just a tad, scotty!

Actually, scotty, concerning the rather excellent, Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama, Neil Lennon said that if any club wanted him they'd have to part with £25 million, which brought on the joke up here 'If Wanyama is worth £25 million how much would you get for two?'

What a great result. It would be great to see Scottish football back on its feet.

Wrexham were 1-0 down at half-time and then equalised which set off a strange goal-scoring spree, innitially an own goal by Southport and then two more scored by Wrexham players, all in pretty swift succession.

Wrexham are back up to second place, behind Newport

Wrexham for the title, Stockport up via the play-offs (or vice versa).

That's kind Rob but after the last two seasons I don't think I could stand the nerve-wracking play-offs again

I'd be happy if it managed to get on its knees, sainty.

On its knees would be just right !!

But seriously, when I were a lad(early 70's) the league was full of really good Scottish players. Players like Jimmy Gabriel, (what a player!) got the odd game for the national team..today he would be a first choice regular .
Why has the talent gone....I just don't get it.
                              I miss those England /Scotland games.....they were tasty !

Edit, its fair to say that the influx on money to the PL has raised the quality of players, but the better Scottish players are lucky to get a game in the championship these days. Its sad.
