The other reality ... La Liga!

'The ball seemed tied to his feet' is an old cliche when applied to a footballing genius but it really does appear that way in the case of Lionel Messi. The way he constantly emerges with the ball from a ruck of opposing players was again evident in tonight's match against Real Madrid.

I have been fortunate to witness many great old-fashioned footballing 'dribblers' in my lifetime, but I do believe Messi trumps them all.

And undeniable proof that there is still a prime place for the 'wee tanner ba' player in today's much-changed game

Surely it was a back of the hand "this is my space" gesture that could just as easily landed on his chest....I'm infering that it was was not aimed....I didn't think it was one of those cases of nasty gratuitous violence (Rooneyesque)

              Stockport 2 - Wrexham 3

Stockport took an early lead, scored an own-goal, Wrexham's Wright scored twice from the penalty spot and was then sent off for his second bookable offence. You don't get that sort of excitement in front of a crowd of 3,500 in the Premiership

And when was the last time two Welsh clubs (count 'em) were first and second in the same league?

This was a super game of footy am51.
Wrexham looked a very good side and showed why they are bookies favoutites for the title.
Thought we were a bit unlucky to come away with nothing.
It was played in a cracking atmosphere helped by around 800 Wrexham supporters.
Came away thinking Stockport are on the right track though, plenty of optimism for the rest of the season.
                Officials were sh**te.

Sound like a cracker. Having witnessed 2 seasons of L1 refs, I'm not sure i would have the patience for conference refs.
as i noted before, Wrexham fans are VERY loud. Probably had singing lessons from Ams !

should be 2 up plus 1 from the playoffs .

I was glad to hear that Gareth Bale was an injury doubt for last night's International.......God knows what he'd have done to us if he'd been fully fit.......Rio here we don't come!

Did you notice that because the Prem was not in action today that according to BBC TV no football was played - where was 'Final Score'?

Well I certainly didn't see that result coming after watching Wrexham midweek.
