Hartlepool and Hereford bring back memories.
Travelled to those grounds many times in the good old days.
Last went to Hereford about 5 years ago but don't remember seeing the bull, probably an elf and safety or animal rights issue nowadays.

It's a bull. They could probably hold bullfights there - they might get more support.

Some Hereford supporters were chanting "We only need 10 men" (after the customary sending-off of a Bulls player) - the chant could just as easily have been "We only ever have 10 men"

BTW, ER, saw Sibelius Violin Concerto live last night.....maybe THAT would have converted you!!
Brahms v Sibelius, only one winner in my book.

Yeah, too right - funny that. I always look for their result - think it goes back to the 60s when they used to hover around the bottom of the old 4th division season after season. Bloomin' eck - I see they've got Neale Cooper as manager - he used to be known as Godzilla when he played for the Dons, and not because he had any god-like tendencies!

Yes I think in the non relegation days Hartlepool survived as they had friends in high places - rather unfair. But I feel Mr. Cooper has his work cut out - it could be the 'pool and the aforementioned Coventry for the drop....

sounds like one of those middling grade bouts they used to show on "sportsnight with Coleman".
(which my mum would let me stay up for if it was a big european night...Derby v Juventus, Leeds kicking the **** out of some Romanian outfit with a dodgy ref thrown in for good measure. ......Happy days !)

5-8 statistically proven in terms of Violin Concertos!

Someone on here supports Wrexham, apologies I can't remember who it is ,anyway a disappointing draw at home to Dartford.
I am that someone, ER so thanks for remembering

A late draw, we were 2-1 ahead for much of the game but Dartford scored from a last-minute free kick - such is life!

Wrexham are having a tough old time playing the loans system, no money to buy new players I'm afraid. What we need is a good run is some Cup or other to generate some funds. Still, the gate today was 3,772 about 1,700 up on much of last season, which just shows what having the fans owning the club can do

once stood in with about 400 wrexham fans to watch a rather thrilling 4-4 draw(?) with bristol city in the cup at Aston Gate.
they were, man for man, easily the loudest fans I have ever heard. A very memorable day.
                          Jan 7 1978. In fact. what a memory !!

Edit, love the fan ownership thing. Working well for Swansea also.
