Mind you, who hasn't wanted to elbow Carlos Tevez. Just ask Mancini! And if Barton had kicked Aguero a bit harder he might not have got the winner!

Congratulations to Manchester City in emulating Chelsea by successfully buying the Premier League title

The unfathomably silly Barton might well have caused his team's defeat and United the title. I doubt if five minutes would have been added without the incident and QPR would still have had eleven on the field. Still, as I say, City deserved it in the end.

Thought Ferguson was dignified in his after-match comments. Not his greatest fan when it comes to that, but credit where credit's due ... he said all the right things in what must have been disappointing and frustrating circumstances.

Spot on. However, football is like that. Fergie is a class act - end of.

The first Manchester club to win the league since 1968.

There are quite a few who would include Shearer in that team for his notorious foul on Lennon.

Can I just say, as a QPR fan, that Barton is an idiot and a liability and we need to get rid!

Out of interest how many of the players and management of the club are Mancunians?

I know Manchester United's stadium is outside Manchester, but the original ground at Newton Heath was in Manchester, not far from where Manchester City play now.

... and similarly Chelsea now play in Fulham (rather than Chelsea), and Queens Park Rangers play in Hammersmith (rather than Queen's Park).
Which is how this particular borough (of Hammersmith & Fulham) has ended up with three Premier footleball clubs
