yes indeed what a trauma for him and a shock for everyone on the field ...

A tragic occurrance indeed. And it's still not looking good. Much credit to the spectators for their dignified behaviour.

Must be awful for the poor lad's family and friends. Can you even try and imagine what it must have been like for them watching it all on television? Yes, the spectators were very dignified and the players, referee, officials and medical staff handled the situation superbly.

As one commentator remarked, despite (or maybe because of) the sad events, yesterday was actually a very inspiring and encouraging day for football and those of us who love the game.

in case any one missed this

Michael Berkeley's guest for the Sport Relief appeal this week is the Austrian footballer Paul Scharner, who currently plays in the Premier League for West Bromwich Albion

His musical choices for Private Passions reflect his Austrian background, and feature works by Mozart, Beethoven and the Strauss family, as well as pieces by Grieg and Vivaldi.

                    True.
A pity 5 live couldn't deal with it a little better, or more sensitively , but so it goes.

                      Good day today!

0-0 at Eastlands (neither side is really impressive), and more importantly, Fabrice continues to improve (albeit) slowly.

Citeh looked a different team when Tevez came on.He will be like a new signing when fully match fit.

                        Good news re Muamba.

Usual good wishes to our messageboard teams except for one (apologies to my Bath City supporting friend).

BTW spare a thought for the defence that was on the receiving end of this.

Good win for Stockport.....mind you, it was a "must win".......and in my experience my team doesn't usually win "must win" games....and you get three points whoever it is against !!

And the Saints go marching on,Reading look the threat now.
Mixed bag for our other teams.
Bath City were very poor but you can only beat what's put in front of you (cliche).

Owls win in context with other results a must win, 2nd again now relying on a Blades slip.

Pompey can't, usually. (beat what's put in front of them !!)
Donny didn't make too many friends today, sadly. They do well to compete at championship level, but their odd mix of PL misfits were a niggly lot.
We were't brilliant today, but our manager is a genius, ( he really is) and quality strikers win you games.

Adkins will manage at the highest level, in my opinion.
