There will possibly not be as much detail in future round ups with so many teams now included.
I'm not including European teams,it would be a full time job !!!
(Just checked - the latter folded in December which shows how much I've been keeping my eye on the ball - very sad - it was the local team in Geneva - bizarre pink strip)

I used to follow their results after meeting a fan on holiday many many years ago.
They are still going,I just checked.

None of my teams are German (or Belgian or Portuguese). I sort of sign up to AC Milan and Ajax as I've been there. Ditto Marseille but that's got the bonuses of excellent fans and a very dubious history. Tapie! Spain is the tricky one - never know whether it is Deportivo, Atletico or Betis. Actually Scotland is even trickier - half a dozen candidates there. You will recall that when Esso did the football badge collection nearly half a century ago the nicest one was Glentoran. So they are on the list too even if I couldn't locate them in NI.

Now having "rellies" in Inverness and Aberdeen, trips past Forres Mechanics aren't uncommon. I was disappointed to learn that they're not nicknamed The Spanners.

Thanks.
It is only worth £1.79 now but it meant a lot at the time:

It has only just dawned on me just how much of life was about collecting.
Those football badges, football cards in chewing gum, football coins from the garage, space race coins from the garage, football league ladders from The Sun, tea cards, matchbox superfast cars, marbles, conkers, stamps, autographs, unusual coins, shells, politically incorrect badges/ornaments from the jam people - and that's just off the top of my head.
It is unsurprising that it's still in music.Last edited by Lat-Literal; 06-03-17, 16:26.

I'd forgotten about the badges.
They were great.
At the time of the 1970 esso world cup medals, ( that would be 1970 !!) a friend's parents ran an Esso garage.....no problems completing the set for me !!Last edited by teamsaint; 06-03-17, 21:46.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

So as from very soon, All Champs League, Europa League matches will be live only on BT.
Just spotted this comment in a newspaper that sums up my attitude EXACTLY:
" As per usual with BT, greed, lies and 'who the hell are you to complain? We run your life., mate, so get used to it. We are beyond reach.' "
