Thanks for a great round up ER. Bit of a shocker for Stockport today :(
I was at a decidedly wintery SMS today, to see a very hard fought forum derby.
Saints had to fight tooth and nail to get something out of the game. We weren't at out best, but Liverpool were excellent, and are clearly going to rack up a lot of points this season,especially without the distraction of Europe. They were solid defensively,and everybody knows how dangerous they are. They will think they ought to have won this, with 3 clear chances. That they failed to take them may point to the fact that they lack a predator of the class of Aguerro, or Costa, but they will score goals most weeks.

The Reds definitely on the up, and a point gratefully received by the Saints, whose excellent back four is such a great asset.
