Yes, it was a milestone day yesterday :-) First time we have beaten Oxford (not sure if that's "ever", but certainly as AFC Wimbledon) and certainly swept us above M* D*** in style. We have technically gone above them during a game, but never ended up in the table above them. Then it was a case of waiting to see if they could match it.
The pub we were in in Wimbledon switched over to the cricket on principle while that game was on, then switched back for the final few minutes so we could celebrate. Good to see Karl Robinson standing there fuming in what looked like a pretty empty stadium.
It's taken just fourteen-and-a-half years to get above them -- pretty staggering the way we have proved big business, the hand-wringing FA and all those ignorant pundits who thought franchise football was a good idea SO VERY WRONG!!

A fantastic achievement, with incredible commitment from the fans.
Could someone please put in a call to International Rescue?

A football question for a Sunday evening: Why at corners do some goalkeepers raise both arms in the air as the kick is about to be taken?? Tom Heaton was doing this today.
Oops, apologies Pulcy, not sure what happened there,I did look the games up but didn't include it,ang on a min
its a tough job ER, and an excellent round up as ever. many thanks.
Pretty convincing stuff from the Saints today, we are looking a really decent side now.
game topped off by a majestic rainbow at half time.
as to Alison's, question, I suspect there is a bit of " Look busy , here comes the boss" about it, but what I know about goalkeeping you can count on a handful of mallet fingers......
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Evening Alison, Can't answer your question. It has been a frustrating season so far. Truro City seem somehow to have lost their way and although the Owls are thereabouts at the right end of the table I'm still waiting for that result that says 'by 'eck we're good!' Today's result was grafted rather than convincing, but maybe that's the nature of the Championship.
