I hope your holiday is good from start-to-finish, Rob, unlike our season.

In the interest of the impartial observer I felt that the Dundee Utd keeper should have an honourable mention on the forum this week. It seems it's not a record, but Cammy Bell saved 3(THREE) first half penalties and the ten-man Arabs went on to take all three points. Seems to me the whole team should hand over their win bonus to the goalie!

A copy's gone on the "Notices" thread but this had to go here too, for the football fraternity:

Almost too good to be true - but it is, it seems!
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I went to the local Roxy today to see '8 Days a Week', the new Beatles Documentary. Very enjoyable indeed, I thought; this clip from the Annfield Kop was one of my favourite bits. I'd never seen it before.

I'm wondering now if I've been neglecting Wolves for months, there was a fan on here wasn't there ? wonder if he/she Is still around ?
I think the East Stirling fan has disappeared too so we'll leave them out from now on.
Cov are having a dire season, played 8 won none scored only 3,bottom of the league.

Last week I went with my son to watch Scarborough Athletic play in the EvoStik Northern division. OK, it wasn't the Champions' League, but there was some fine football, including a free-kick goal worthy of Beckham in his prime.

Great camaraderie in the stands, though attendance was a bit sparse.

The standard of football can be really good in these leagues
