Thanks for the explanation, Rob. Wonder where ES go in the unlikely event that they lose...maybe play Shepshed! Well done Hereford. Plus 105 no bad at all. And good luck to Man U and the Foxes today...may the beast team win!

Great round-up, ER. Some good promotion chances for Forum teams after yesterday's results. Perhaps we will have Dons v MK Dons next season, not for the faint-hearted...

A storming season for the Bulls, but Shepshed Dynamo sounds like a chicken battery farm, probably surrounded by a derelict industrial estate. And Sporting Khalsa sounds like a team of nuclear power station workers in the Caucasus. Where are these places?! It really needs another Jonathan Meades football ground survey like the one he did in Scotland.

thanks for the round up , ER.

Good to see Hereford on the way back up. Salisbury have also started to rise again, having won the Wessex League at the first attempt.
Good luck to the Owls in the Play offs.

and today could be THE day......

We could still be in contention for that fourth spot. Later today, we'll have overtaken West Ham and will be just two points behind City. I still want van Go to go.

                    Sunday supplement

Alas it wasn't to be today Alison,I think there was a steely determination, maybe instilled down from the Man Utd hierarchy, that it couldn't be allowed to happen at Old Trafford

Swansea City 3 Liverpool 1 One eye on the Europa League,a much changed Reds team were 2-0 down after only half an hour, pulled one back on 65 mins then conceded a 3rd 2 mins later, also had a man sent off on 76 mins,8th place
Manchester United 1 Leicester City 1 Forum derby,Reds took the lead on 8 mins,Foxes equalised on 17 mins and had a man sent off late in the game,Foxes within 2 points of the title,Reds 5th place but will regret dropping points especially after the citeh result
Southampton 4 visitors 2 How we laughed, convincing win with 2 goals in each half, conceded just before half time and on 78 mins,7th place
St Mirren 2 Rangers 2 Last game of the season, led the champions 1-0 at the break then conceded 2 before securing a point in the 92nd min, finished 6th,Jim Goodwin's last game ?,where's he going or has he retired John ?

Really enjoyed watching the first half from OT, before setting off for SMS today. Leicester will do it, and showed all their qualities today. i imagine that somewhere deep down they are hoping the title can be won at home next week, rather than through spuds dropping points at Chelsea .But I doubt they will be worried how it happens.

A very entertaining afternoon at SMS, and I though the visitors were a bit fortunate not to get a real drubbing. Long , Tadic and Mane took them to the cleaners. I would think the Saints players were pretty fired up at the thought of city sending down a much changed team. They certainly gave a committed performance. European hopes ( or is that fears) still just about alive for us.we have been fortunate to see some fine football from our lads again this season.

Wow, I was so nervous watching the big match.

I like having a little bet on Wes Morgan to be first goal scorer and would have been £400 better off had he scored first!

Still it was a fine performance after a shaky start and with Vardy we could have had the ammo to win it.

                        Who's Jim Goodwin?

Thanks ts, we await our opposition, probably the loser from the top 3 unless Derby don't fancy Hull and lose their last two. Whatever it's a cracking end to our best season in years!

Indeed Alison, Owls in the Prem and City in the National would be loads of icing on the season's cake, or at least be good for a pint or two of Betty Stogs!

Well Alison, Big Jim (as Ivor Cutler might have put it) is an Irishman who played for both Stockport and St Mirren. He was Captain on our most recent foray to a Cup Final when we lifted the League Cup.

However he was more renowned for his disciplinary record. He once said that after committing a foul in a game the referee came over and said, 'It's Ok, I took the precaution of putting your number in the book before the game!'...or something to that effect. During his Buddies' career he amassed 56 yellows and 4 reds, and the corresponding quota of suspensions. Don't we just love 'em? At 34 his contract's up with the Buddies and he now seeks pastures new; no word who the lucky team will be...maybe the reason Mahrez ran from St Mirren was that Big Jim was after him!

I'm surprised we didn't overcome a little club like Leicester yesterday. Puts a big dent in our Champions League aspirations. And Leicester not winning means they didn't win the Premiership (if the end top top at the end), rather Spurs threw it away. A bad day for both teams yesterday.
