Yes, edge, previous manager stepped down after a midweek cup exit. Step forward one Kevin Maher to record first win in nine.

Really pleased with the Leicester win and performance and the cup defeat suddenly a distant memory.

great roundup ER. Thanks as ever for the report.

Leicester finish the weekend top. Brilliant.Wouldn't it be wonderful.....they are going to have a LOT of folk on their side.

Saw the whole Saints game on a stream yesterday. Played really well, but United were pretty abject. Van Gaal cannot survive long with that level of performance.

We were at the match and (through gritted teeth) it was a beautiful goal. Neither team had played particularly well and I thought 1-1 would have been a fair result. Palace could well have taken the lead just before that goal, hitting the bar twice. A decent striker is needed urgently (Connor Wickham has scored once) and, alas, Bolasie's return is not imminent.

              OK, here we go....

You have a feeling that the only thing Liverpudlians can rely on these days is - at least it won't be dull...

"Long night", "won't be dull" did I say..?

Liverpool 0 Stoke City 1 (agg. 1-1. Liverpool win 6-5 on pens)

Speechless to screaming, agony to ecstasy, offside goal-against to penalty-shootout and MIGNOLET the hero with a true wonder save...

                So - City or Everton?

                I don't care
                because we're there!

Thanks for the round-up, Rob, and for the result - brilliant 6-pointer, though we only seem to have got 3...also creating a distance from the 2nd bottom bunch - dare we look upwards?

A win at last for York City but the performances have been so poor. I need to investigate just how much money is going into the new stadium - of which I disapprove - so that is clear what could have been spent on players to have prevented the club dropping out of the league again. There is still some time to turn it round but it is now looking unlikely!!

Is it possible to include the Arsenal results on a regular basis as those are more cheering (although I have a feeling the PL will be won on the other side of N London this year)?
