      Horrendous.

Nathan Pond of Fleetwood who played against Millwall tonight - at, erm, Highbury Stadium.

It was said that he is probably the only player to have played in seven divisions with the same team.

Thanks Rob - opposite of Friday where the Buds clung on letting the lead slip in the 90th minute. This time it was one-nil down throughout and equalised in the last couple of minutes. Funny how two single points can feel so different. Relief for the Manager.

Remarkable - and Tim Vickery in the early hours reminding us that Vardy was in non-league football just four years ago and that this is all being achieved at the advanced age of 28. An extraordinary story. Also of interest was the noting by Vickery, who has to be the pundit of pundits, of comments - from the current manager of Brazilian club Corinthians, I think - about one of the secrets to Alex Ferguson's success at Man Utd. After a relatively poor season, most managers discard players and buy in. But when there has been a very successful season, they do their utmost to keep the squad together. Ferguson did the opposite. Discard and buy in after a successful season to compensate for complacency. When there has been a poor one, stick with what you have to show the players that they retain your faith. Interesting stuff - and also useful for not noting the York City scoreline today.

Would have loved the win but well done Jamie anyway.

Thought United showed Foxes plenty of respect and nullified the counter attacks in large measure.

                          Hi Foxy Lady
In the scale of things Prem a good result - Vardy and the Owls is a bit like The Beatles and Decca. But then we've got our young super sub, Joao.

To cheer the downhearted - the clip below has been providing giggles at this end. The medical assistance provided to the yellow 23 after his tumble presumably left him in need of considerably more intensive treatment....

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                                Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
