thanks for filling in for ER, Zola.

I wasn't there today, but at least my words seem to have stirred the lads into action , goalwise !! At least a terrific season didn't end with a whimper....citeh up last for us next week.

A fine result for the Eagles, what a terrific season they have had. Punch on the scoresheet again.

And congrats to Leicester and big Nige. What an escape.

No doubt Alison will be feeling the effects tomorrow morning. Hopefully she had a winner or two at York this week to help pay for the fizzy stuff !
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Sunderland 0 Leicester 0 Now officially safe.
Liverpool 1 Crystal Palace 3 Well done Palace, even if Sky totally ignored your good play.

Not sure who all our Scottish teams are. I know St Mirren, think Inverness too ?

Inverness CT 3 Dundee Utd 0 Good confidence boost for Cup Final
St Mirren 2 Motherwell 1 Building for next season

Man Utd play tomorrow, Chelsea on Monday. Big game tomorrow for Bristol Rovers in Conference play off final.
Thanks for the update - I am not so sure the Toon will survive the WHU organisation had a fair few members who owe us no favours

            So farewell, Stevie G...
Thanks for the blossoming hopes, the special moments, thanks for the dreams come true...
Thanks for that winner against Olympiakos , thanks for that equaliser against West Ham ...but most of all -

Thanks for the Miracle of Istanbul!
Night of our footie lives, and the three day party that followed (don't remember that as well as the game though...)

Go west and enjoy a kickabout in that Indian Summer Sunshine.

I can understand the attractions and glitz of LA but he could have given something back to the English game by starting his managerial career as player-manager of Tranmere who've just joined Div 4 old boys!

                    What, straight away?!
Give the guy a break, he's looked drained all season, especially after some traumatic moments on the pitch last year...

Buy don't worry, he'll be back... (and, in England at least, still as a one-team man, you'd expect...)

Looks like job done by skin of teeth. Back in league, no doubt refreshed and seeking a promotion double in a year!

Man Utd 1 Arsenal 1 For all but the mathematical pedants, Utd confirmed in fourth place and Champions League qualifying round to be negotiated.

Bristol Rovers 1 Grimsby Town 1 After extra time, Rovers won 5-3 on penalties to gain promotion back to the Football League. Congratulations. Substituting the goalkeeper for the shoot out not decisive in the end since the vital kick was ballooned over the bar.

Great News for the Gas indeed.
Their fans are indeed a long suffering lot,so lets hope they storm to the L2 title next year.

Jumping in the river with joy tonight.

( sorry for Grimsby though, hope they make it next year.)
