It was a great kick by Punch, but the Sky pundits showed Toure in the wall actually lowering his head at the key moment. He probably should have blocked it.
Blackburn Rovers 0 Liverpool 1. Villa await in the semis.

Motherwell 5 St Mirren 0. Fourth loss on the bounce, relegation looks inevitable.
The team are obviously as disheartened as me (5-0 Motherwell is even worse than it sounds, Rob). It's not been a pleasant sight watching this season and 'inevitable relegation' it is, particularly given the recent form of their fellow strugglers. Thing is that they look in danger of spending a long time in the long grass - not many signs of new shoots there. Ross County tomorrow night - only three points offers them a stay of execution you have to think.

Reason: mixed metaphors but not mixed fortunes
sorry to hear about The Buddies raidly unravelling season.
Important at this stage to try to recover ( or get) some form and cohesion, and to go into the summer with a positive outlook for the new campaign, but that is seldom easy in these situations.
THanks for the round up ER, sterling work as ever. The summer break can't come soon enough for County , I guess.
Great win for the foxes, keeping in touch is the key.
Saints saw off a toothless Hull side at SMS to keep the european dream going. Had seats behind the goal where we scored both yesterday, which is always fun !!
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
Cracking Mancs derby wasn't it? Van Gaal always was too good not to come good. And for once we're pleased to see United win! 4th spot reappears faintly on the far horizon...
But what on Earth is up with City these days? 4 wins in 15!? Looked like their brilliant new-old selves for 10 minutes, but after that...
