Man U .... why are these people still on the books {coz no bugger would want them](worthless bunch of one dimensional speedsters....pace is inportant in the modern game, but you have to have some skill too) Obertan, Bete, Anderson, Raphael....Christ they have been at the club 3-4 years now, and have not progressed
Ferguson is many things but he is not particularly good at buying talent....other than those who are obviously talented....Wenger is the best at buying, amazing talent there....Raffa was crap too....I hope Ancellotti stays, be interested to see who he will buy....did? Abramovich do the deal for Torres the Hamstrung....
Can't see any Premier clubs coming in for the Man U babes....nor Championship either....they really really are A DEAD LOSS Alex....can 'em....
Why is it that people who demonstrate real intellect in other walks of life, go completely to the dogs, in vocabulary, spelling and syntax, when animated about football?
I guess I ought to put in a word of support for Arsenal tomorrow. I am still a card carrying member but no longer attend. Football has become about as meaningful now as whether people support Tescos over Morrisons.
Anyhow, ever since the Gunners ditched their history and moved to a modern indoors venue - it feels like that - they haven't won a blade of grass. A victory, therefore, is important or as important as such things can be.
No, John W, my apologies. I need to clarify. I am a "silver lite" member. For about £30 per annum, this gives me an entitlement to purchase match tickets at £40 plus or to choose not to buy any at all. On some years I also get a short video that features the manager and the players eating in the club restaurant and an interview with the chef.
If I stop paying the subscription, I have to wait for - oh, I don't know, 75 years - to be a "silver lite" member again. In the meantime, I could become a "red" member at some point. This would enable me to see the third team play Grimsdyke Juniors FC and a proper evening match every so often. But only if I fight against millions of others to win the equivalent of the Krypton Factor.
Many congrats to Birmingham City and their Old Firm management team of ALex McLeish & Peter Grant ... at least we Scots can share this glory and not worry too much about that other so-called 'football' game, eh? ...::cool2:
