United had 85% of the possession, according to the match stats and Tadic was clearly offside (how come the ref didn't red-card him for that goal celebration? - Bias is the answer).
We had 36 shots on target compared to Southampton's 1.
This game was a travesty of justice. No wonder this is the first win for Southampton against us in 47 years. We'll win the return when we'll have Rooney, Van Persie and Di Maria back. We've had too many injuries with all the big names missing.
Don't get me wrong, I can take defeat, but that game was a joke.
You. Didn't. Get. It. InTheBackOfTheNet.
It's about... goals... (and don't Liverpool fans just know it).
Cheer up. Having to fight for a top-four place makes life much more exciting!Last edited by jayne lee wilson; 11-01-15, 23:49.

Come to think of it, 4 teams in a play off for the last CL place would be a good idea.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Great to see Saints leading the way for non big-money teams to do well - with Champions League a possibility. The Boxing Day win we witnessed with some depression against Palace actually proved the catalyst for removing Neil Warnock and ushering in the Pardew era which has started very promisingly. Of course, Palace came third in 1991 but were denied European participation in the wake of the Heysel disaster.

A tremendous performance by Saints yesterday, especially by Morgan Schneiderlin who is such an important player for them. Sadly it is not looking so good for the Saints north of the border after another home defeat (and heroics by keeper Ridgers kept the scoreline respectable). It now looks like a real dogfight between them and Ross County (and possibly Motherwell) to avoid that automatic relegation spot.
Caley Thistle seem to play better with 10 men - it must be because they do it so often - and came back from 1-0 down with a man sent off to win.

I'd like to see Jordan Rhodes given a chance in the PL, and I think he would suit us well. WGS doesn't seem a big fan though, and he's not the worst judge.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Thing is you can get away with a much worse touch in L1, ( as Lallana found out, since he had to improve it to get goals as he went up the leagues).
Not sure if Rhodes has the ability to succeed in the PL, and nobody has taken a punt on him. You would have thought that a bottom half team at least would buy him for £10m, on the basis that it might work, and you would always get half back from a top Championship side if you had to sell him on.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. I think Hull wanted him but took Hernandez instead....yes Saint it's bizarre you would think someone would take a punt, when you see some of the foriegn strikers who get sussed out pretty damned quick by PL defenders....every one expected Beckwith, Nugent, etc to step up....I personally like Celtic's Chris Commons....and I must admit I had Kane down as a dud last season....bong ching
