All a bit tepid from my perspective, the split of the cup games over a few days doesn't help and the giant killings struggling for a real sense of note worthiness.

Perhaps a rare Leicester win, a home one at that, should have got me going .....
I agree Alison, schedule all over the place.
Wouldn't be so bad over two days, but Friday to Tuesday is barmy.

What a big improvement from Chelmsford! We were going nowhere in October.

Indeed,on the fringe of the play offs, let's hope they can keep it going chuck.

Seems there's an Argie consortium sniffing around at Buddy Park, though they're unlikely to detect the strawberry jam of my youth, Alison. Renamed Malvinas Park is next on the schedule I assume.

well he played the three forwards in the squad to beat Watford - Costa Drogba and Reimy all on the field ...

highlight of the blurred eyes and decontextualised boredom [what match is this?] of all that footie in such a short period was the Spurs performance and Kane in particular - that i can recall .. better than the Bale days it looks promising for The Lad

[mebbe Ozzie Ardiles wants to buy a Scottish club?]

The honours and history have since been returned I think, but still doesn't make it right.
Just about to say it looks like a training game for Liverpool, then Wimbledon almost score twice

Next they will need to smash Cambridge Beefster.

Wimbledon 1 Liverpool 2. Forum derby, looked like it was going to be straightforward for Livepool after Gerrard scored, turned out to be a cracking cup tie.

"Yes, well".... a very "yes, well" sort of game.... Because our excellent passing & approach work is always let down by fragile defence and lack of firepower... and it seems almost any team with spirit will look good against THAT... a team with ability usually wins, say, 1-0, or 3-0...

But there's always Steven Gerrard to get us out of trouble! And he'll go on for ever, and...ah. Yes. Don't remind me. The campaign starts here!

Rickie Lambert, Mario Balotelli..., is it really THEIR fault, or is it simply that the coach can't adapt to a focal point - i.e., yes it's great to have "all these options" and "goals can come from anywhere" (or nowhere), but if THAT fails you do, just sometimes, need a good cross and a target with some positional intelligence.. or one that simply knows his role. (You're supposed to work this out in training, Brendan!).

Tiki-taka was always going to let Spain down in the end.

Buddies were unlucky against Caley Thistle, jc - they dominated the first half and Kenny McLean could have scored with any one of three attempts. They deserved at least a point.

But at least you had this great goal - from an 18-year-old! - to cheer you up over the Xmas period in the 3-1 win over Dundee:

It certainly did cheer me offering hope of more to come, aeolium - his pull back at the beginning of the move that sent him away was terrific - more of that please! I think the problem is that they've lost a couple of games due to dodgy decisions - Might at least have picked up one or two points since the Dundee game instead of null points. The Dons on Saturday - tough one to crack - they're flying.

Thanks Rob, yes, Winkelman & Co. accepted that the history, honours, etc. belonged to us and the silverware is back in Merton, some on display at Kingsmeadow. They refused to drop the "Dons" (hopefully that will change in time) but of course they still have their league place not only stolen from us, but also cheating all the legit clubs who have climbed the football pyramid through performances on the pitch.

Last night was very special. Dons fans in fine voice, really up for it. It felt as if we were back in the Premier League, holding our own against the odds and even coming back from 1-0 down, which showed real guts.

To be honest, all we realistically hoped for was to avoid a drubbing. I couldn't believe we managed to take the ball off them so frequently, put together so many passes especially along the left wing, and our tackling was excellent. At one point in the second half when I realised all the action had been in their penalty box for ages, I started to wonder if Liverpool were deliberately lulling us into a false sense of security -- then I thought, it's 1-1, they're supposed to be winning this by a country mile, can't possible be deliberate!

JLW is right, the big difference between the two sides on the night was Gerrard. But when there's 71 league places between the clubs -- you'd think it would have shown up more than it did.

Yes just like Spain when David Villa began to miss fire, and Torres failed to fill in....no finish ....pointless manoeuvring about the edge of the 18yds box (if they are lucky enough to get as far as the final third.... Not RL or MB''s fault at all ....No service whatsoever....I was a big BR fan once but since miss buying RL &MB in summer I have no confidence in him ....Why buy them after getting rid of another tall target man (Andy Carroll) because he didn't fit the tactical bill....Heart of team ripped out after Mascherano and Alonso left and never replaced in any muscular way....Probably 20 bad signings many of them on BR's watch, many not even getting anywhere where near the first team....Sakho has no control even of the ball (or his legs for that matter)....
