    Busy time coming up for our teams,good luck to all of them.

        Better late then never.

        Wednesday's FA Cup 2nd round replay betwen Crawley Town and Bristol Rovers was abandoned because of a waterlogged pitch with the score at 0-0.
        The match has been re-arranged for Saturday,4 January.
        The third-round tie against Birmingham City will now take place on Tuesday,7 January.
        Sheffield Wednesday's home league game v Wigan on the same evening was abandoned because of a waterlogged pitch with the visitors winnig 1-0.

        Saturday.

        Crystal Palace 0 Newcastle United 3. Forum derby,Toon 6th,Eagles remain in the bottom 3.
        QPR 0 Leicester City 1. Great win v the top placed side,3rd.
        Brighton 0 Huddersfield Town 0. On the verge of the play-offs.
        Sheffield Wednesday 1 Bournemouth 2. Late Owls goal but couldn't find an equaliser,3rd bottom.
        Rotherham United 3 Wolves 3. Good point after being 3-1 down,2nd.
        Swindon Town 2 Coventry City 1. Disappointing defeat after leading with 13 minutes to go,13th.
        Bristol Rovers 2 Portsmouth 0. Welcome 3 points,easing away form the relegation zone.
        Hartlepool United 1 Burton Albion 1. Good point v a top 6 side,14th.
        York City 0 Oxford United 0. Again a good point v a top 3 team,just 1 point clear of the bottom 2.
        Kilmarnock 2 Partick Thistle 1. Jags on the slide,10th.
        Motherwell 3 St Mirren 0 . Comprehensive defeat 8th.
        Inverness Caledonian Thistle 3 Aberdeen 4. 0-4 at half time,almost grabbed a point,4th.
        Hereford United 1 Cambridge United 0. Super win v the top of the league team,up to 17th.
        Welling United 1 Wrexham 1. Up to 14th.
        Stockport County 2 Oxford City 0. Hallelujah,18th.
        Arlesy Town 1 Truro City 1.Remain 17th.

        Newport County v Wimbledon and Eastleigh v Chelmsford were postponed,waterlogged pitches.

        Southampton 2 Tottenham 3.Own goal agony,down to 9th.


        Chelsea play Arsenal tomorrow.

                    New Year's Day. Palace v Norwich. Normally you would back eagles in a fight against canaries (especially on home habitat - the untamed crags of Selhurst and South Norwood). I wish I could be so confident.
