    EA's quiz.

I'm not good on the Manchester clubs but a feeble attempt at an answer.

    1.Bert Trautmann,1956 FA Cup.

2.1968 European cup, manyoo, I recognise Best & Busby.

3.Man City FA CUP, homecoming 1969,I assume Neil Young is in the picture.

4.Man City won the FA Cup in 1934 (beating Portsmouth btw ts)so this must be the parade through Piccadilly

Are you a closet city fan EA ?

Yes there is - it's the same score as in the 1960 European Cup final at Hampden Park in front of 127,000 spectators. Real Madrid beat Eintracht Frankfurt with Puskas scoring 4 and di Stefano 3:

Me old dad worked in Babcock & Wilcox Engineering in Renfrew - there were often tickets going for a big match and he used to tell me that he was offered a ticket for the Real/Eintracht game and nearly turned it down cos he was offered overtime - he said he would never have forgiven himself if he'd missed it and to the end, apart from Celtic winning in Lisbon, it remained his football highlight.

Yes it was nice hearing her...she's good...and your comment gives a chance to post this beaut again...like you need an excuse.

My dad took the photos. You can see where his loyalties lay.

But your pictures really warm the heart.

Thanks for a great round up ER. Four for Stockport. Brilliant.

Great photos from EA, as well. The 1969 cup final is my first real memory of big time football.

I was at SMS today for Saints V Swansea. If the footy was like this every week, the ticket prices wouldn't seem quite so bad. Two teams with fine attacks really going for it. Swansea are clearly an excellent side, easily the best opposition at SMS so far this season. They were unlucky not to equalise, but 2 canny substitutions turned the game for us Perfect weather too.

                      Thanks ER.

At last something to really cheer the Edgeley park faithful...and against a former league side.

A bit of cheer for the hard pressed monkey hangers too.

I would never knock the JPT. We had a wonderful day at wemerlee when we won it, after some rather rubbish years.

                                Law of the universe, ER.

Admit it, somewhere, deep down, almost but not quite completely hidden away, there is still a glimmer of hope that one day you will see an England captain lifting another trophy.

Go on, admit it. It will help.

and the corporates all missed the goal.
