Thanks for the coverage Rob and the reminder by default that we got stuffed in the last round. However result of the week should be the soap dodgers of Morton with their fine 1-0 demolition of 'tic at Parkhead. I mean they're our local rivals but well done beating the team that hope to get a result against Barca next week. Meantime, come on Saints - get us a result this weekend...PLEEEEAAAASSSSSEEEEE!!!!!!!
*bloomin' 'eck - not playing till Monday!

Reason: must mind me manners!
Spurs v Les Bleus is a family affair in more than the AVB/Jose way ... No 1 Son is a SPurs fan through and through and Pa is ahem a bit fond of his childhood affiliations in West London ...
Yesterday Bristol Rovers were away to Southend. Ironically ex-Shrimpers striker Matt Harrold had put Bristol Rovers ahead - and then - Southend scored! So it was a 1-1 draw.
I'm keeping an eye on Wrexham Ams, so far they are holding on

It's the manager, Andy Morrell, I feel sorry for - he rescued the club as a player-manager, got us to Wembley twice, including once in the play-offs and now the wheels have fallen off, probably in part because of lack of resources, & poaching by other, better resourced, teams.
ah well 1-1 stops intergenerational gloating .... Jol has some explaining to do .... Fulham must be capable of beating the likes of newly promoted teams at the Cottage, especially with Di Mateo and Poyet on the market ...
but so far what a weekend for the top teams, both Manchester teams beaten!...... way to go WBA and Steve Clarke [another Jose ex-employee but not currently rowing with the special one]
Cheers Anna
Against Conference's leading side Cambridge too - a proper Jekyll & Hyde team we've turned into this season
Wrexham missed the chance to record the first defeat of the season against Conference Premier leaders Cambridge at the Racecourse. The Dragons gained a valuable point after a poor start to their campaign but a defensive error proved costly.
Wrexham goalkeeper Joslain Mayebi's poor clearance saw Kwesi Appiah score Cambridge's equaliser on the 17th minute.
Leon Clowes' header on the sixth minute had given the home side the lead.
Defender Clowes, back in the side after injury, met a Johhny Hunt cross at the far-post to give the home side a 1-0 lead before Cambridge salvaged a point to keep their unbeaten record so far this season.
So near. so far!! Nota Bene: (Or Bona Post-It Note!) Cambridge salvaged a point ........ (and that's from the BBC website)

Delighted to see the two former Buddies rolling over the Manucits today - get on Stevie and Paul - now all I need for that ideal weekend is a result on Monday evening.
