I've always had a soft spot for Bayern because Gerd Muller was one of my all time favourite players and I saw him play for them once at the Olympic Stadium...problem is I hate Robben, not sure why, so I don't want him to win...but I think it's anybody's game. Yours in a confused state, J.

However it's the Scottish Cup Final tomorrow - Hibs are trying to break their 113 year hoodoo, 9 unsuccessful finals in an attempt to win the cup - they need it much more than Celtic -and it would be great to hear the Hibs fans singing Sunshine on Leith in celebration.

The Bundesliga has obvious virtues compared the corporate-oriented Premier League, but not everyone is happy, eg with Bayern walking away with the Bundesliga by 25 points, only losing one match. Dortmund will pick up a lot of underdog supporters. There is also some disgruntlement in the East (eg from my wife, born in Leipzig) that 22 years after re-unification there is not one team from the former DDR in the Bundesliga. At the moment there is not even one from the capital city.

That's not good, although I think Hertha Berlin have been promoted to the Bundesliga for the 2013-14 season. Are there any promising teams in the former DDR?
