Perhaps QPR will be the top London club..

They were in the first season of the Premiership incidentally.

Indeed, it didn't feel right yesterday with the season starting without us.
Hopefully things are looking a bit better now and we can bounce back sooner rather than later.

BTW first game is against Forest...............

                Green Rovers.

West Brom will be in the top three this season. Europe here we come!

Just hope we can beat Man U on 14th...

Well the football season started two weeks ago for some of us, but I do agree it's good to see the English season back in action if only to combat some of the quite astonishing media hysteria generated south of the border about globally irrelevant minority games like cricket.

An entertaining match today, and it already looks like Sir Alex may well have got some new up-and-coming youngsters who could eventually compare favourably with the greats of the past.

A good start to the English season, especially as these opening games are often disappointing damp-squibs ..

I take it you are not including their new goalkeeper in your confident prediction?

His distribution of the ball to his outfield team-mates was excellent ... and, in any case, he was possibly a bit nervous today, hence one or two little human errors ... if Sir Alex has confidence I would tend to share it, and be quite willing to bet that this lad should have a very bright future indeed ..

..was that after he collected it from the back of the net?

..my bet for the sleeper .... the team who will creep up on the table is West Brom .... [famous last words] [the team are likely already fast asleep after all the formation drills they will have done for Roy]

Man U were terrifyingly good in the second half, interesting how many old timers were not selected or substituted at half time ... and Man city will do well to finish in the top half of the table on that form ...

West Ham were pretty dire as an attacking force in that boring game against Cardiff ....

De Gea will be fine....played great for Athletico....he'll get there....the speed of the UK game has to be got used to....he'll be fine....

Didn't know until I saw him come out of tunnel that Young was now with Man U....that is a GREAT signing....[anyone know How Much?}....

With Hernandez, they have fantastic pace, a nimble and agile front 4, and Cleverley I think will end up a fitting replacement for Scholes....

Goodness when you think about it, those on bench and injured could easily provide another 11 that could rout any Premier side....

Some really nasty cynical tackles from City....

IMO Evra is a big liability....an accident waiting to happen....[Like Glen Johnson]....

                                I'm writing QPR off now....shakey defence +Warnock = down

Revise Fulham + Jol = stagnation bottom 8
