Beef Oven
We made hard work of West Ham. Standards are slipping at United. But, to be fair, we had no RvP and had to have Wayne Rooney as a replacement.

Probably a bad idea anyway. Last time I put a Saints thing up in the kitchen was a cut out of the league table, at Xmas 2003. We were 4th !!
18 months later we were relegated for the first time in 27 years. Pride comes before a fall......I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

why have The Saints sacked Adkins for heavens sake?
If only Abramovich would do the same for Emenalo ever since he joined the club he has done a very creditable impersonation of a complete Jonah!
Is Arsene right?
Wenger also admitted that he expected Guardiola to come to the Premier League.
“He asked me a few times and told me a few times he would like to come to England,” he said. “I always encouraged him to come to England but Germany is not a backward step. Germany, maybe along with Spain, are the country with the best young players. It is the football of tomorrow.”According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.

thanks for breaking that news, Jazzer!
I am unable to properly reply in polite, R3 langauge
football never fails to surprise or disappoint, but i can't think I have ever been more disappointed by something the club has done.
Don't feel like going on Monday now.
or again for a long time.
We played sensational football under NA.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Just reinforces my reluctance to spend £35 a game or more. Don't think I could ever give it up, but the days when I loyally turned out week after week, whatever **** the board or team gave us, are long, long gone. They treat us like (idiot) customers, and that is how I behave.
Very sad day for the Saints, IMO. And I should know one of those when I see one ....there have been a few !I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Problem is, we are not dealing with rational people here, Cloughie. We are dealing with moneymen whose inflated egos give them the delusion they can run anything, anywhere when they clearly have no experience of the sector or the culture. It's Sam Allardyce and Venky's all over again. It's about showing who's boss. Men like that have no place in football but unfortunately while English clubs can be bought by any billionaire who can then install whoever they want as chairman, with no emotional ties to the club or sense of stewardship, it will carry on.
My sympathy, TeamSaint. I do hope there is a good outcome. At least Saints fans are doing justice with NC's Wiki entry.

thanks Lancashire Lass.. cortese thinks he can take us into the champions league or something. that is delusional. If he spent many tens of millions , in a few years he might get us there once. maybe. Parma and Bayer leverkeusen are examples of that kind of thing. But it couldn't last. there is a queue of potentially bigger outfits waiting for the money men to take them there...villa, Everton, spuds, leeds, forest, wednesday, west ham etc.
Not going to enjoy monday night much, if I do go.I have tickets.......I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I suspect that Forest's owners are as delusional as cortese.
They have got rid of two proven quality Championship managers (Billy Davis and Sean O'Discoll) and keep trying failed PL/international managers.
O'Driscoll would have been great for them given time. his problem seems to be that he has a properly functioning brain...not popular with football chairmen I guess.Last edited by teamsaint; 18-01-13, 17:45.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered.
