Well, the "most interesting game of the weekend" according to Edgeley Rob does involve me, as I shall be going down to Kingsmeadow tomorrow to join fellow Dons in supporting our team on the big screen. To me and most of our fans, the Franchise are not a legitimate club and never will be, and it's a game that should never have taken place. That's why many of us are boycotting it (though other fans are going -- I guess that's their choice). Because of that, and although it would be great to see us win, the result doesn't really matter. If Franchise win, it won't make the theft of our club and our league place right; if we win, it won't avenge what was done. They not only cheated us, they also cheated every football club which has climbed the football pyramid by the rules. Hopefully that will come across in all the press interviews.

Will probably feel sick when the teams run out but will be among friends and plentiful alcohol. Thanks for your support anyway Rob, and also the video, which I hadn't seen before!

And Wimbledon duly added to the 'teams to look out for' list Gail.
Most football fans will be on your side tomorrow.
Many Stockport fans refused to watch the plastic dons whenever they played us on their own ground.
In fact some even went to watch Wimbledon wherever they were playing on that particular day.
I think the fans of some clubs still do this.

First proper win since "Autumn". 3-0 up after 35 minutes. Just as well it didn't go on longer. Current position - 14th.

(One for the pools people - 8 of the last 15 in the league have been draws)

Good luck to Dickie Guy, the fans, and anyone else who can still recognise the word "commitment".

I didn't realise there was a list as such, Rob, so thanks for adding it.

You're right, an awful lot of fans over the years have come to see us instead of visiting the Frannies. The first club to play them at the Asdadome were Burnley, and we arranged a picnic on Wimbledon Common with some of their fans. It has always made me/most of us feel very humble that fans of other clubs were prepared to do this when of course they wanted to support their own teams. So it's disappointing that so many of our own fans are going to MK tomorrow, even though one can understand why. It was something that could have split our fanbase but we have just had to agree to disagree.

Incidentally, County gave us a lot of help when we formed AFC Wimbledon, and those of us who spend Christmas in the northwest came to your match just after Christmas 2002, when you played Bristol City. We presented you with a signed shirt on the pitch at half-time. Met some great people in the pub near the ground (can't remember the name, but it's one your fans meet up at). Some fairly drunken Wombles that night on the train back to Manchester!

Thanks for your support anyway and we'll see what happens tomorrow.

Thanks for the ever expanding round up, ER.
Sorry to see you were on the wrong end of a 7 goal "thriller".....a dull 1-0 win any day of the week is better.
Reduced to getting the scores on line on my phone while getting a puncture repaired (or not repaired but that is another story) at kwik fit.
Saw the 3-3 story at county, and was thinking there was just time for Stockport to grab a winner...

Hounours to some of our Championship teams again...the Foxes and Eagles leading the charge.

Saints with their traditional defeat at Anfield.
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I am not a number, I am a free man.

I just like to look out for the results of teams supported by fellow forumites.Just hope we don't get any franchise or man citeh fans onboard or I may have to resign.
I remember the game,we lost 4-1,thanks for reminding me LL.

I'll be rooting for Wimbledon tomorrow (had a tiny flutter too).

3-0 down, got it back to 3-3 then shot ourselved in the foot with an OG.
Saints just can't seem to pull away from the bottom 3.

That is a rotten way to lose a game, ER.

3 from Saints, Villa, Reading and QPR I should think. Silly dropped points cost you VERY dear in the PL......still, plenty of time left, its in our own hands.

LL - I'm always intrigued by the geography of football support - how does someone with your nom de plume come to support Wimbledon rather than Accrington Stanley, Preston or some other worthy North-Western cause?

Well, tying in nicely with ER's remark, I come from Middleton near Manchester and was brought up as a City fan (but that was well before they became a moneybags club of course). I never went though, as my Dad had stopped going, the ground was miles away on the other side of Manchester and in those days, girls didn't go on their own. But everyone at my (girl's) school was football crazy, either blue or red, and we all had the first team's names all over our rough books.

I then left home and got involved in other things. Years later, I ended up in Wimbledon, and in spring 1988 bought my flat which by chance is half a mile from Plough Lane. I didn't even know Wimbledon had a football club! Until May, when I watched the Cup Final and saw them bring the Cup back into Wimbledon.

I still didn't go, but when I heard they were moving to Selhurst Park I thought I'd get the PL experience, so went to the last-ever league game there (0-3 to Palace, Ian Wright scoring a hat-trick), got the bug (to be fair, maybe it was seeing the top clubs I was more interested in at that stage) and started going to Selhurst with a friend who was also a football fan. It just developed from there; loved the team and their attitude, loved the fact it was a small club supping at the Premiership table. By the time the club's owners announced they were going to move to MK, I was a pretty hard core fan and got stuck into the protest campaign, sit-ins, marches etc. like thousands of others.

Right, time for me to leave for KM and this abominable match. Thanks for your good wishes ER, LateralThinking (I'll keep an eye out for DG, he might be there) and Cloughie, and good luck in the Third Round draw to those of you still in the Cup!

AFC Wimbledon is the one team in the south of England who I want to do well - especially today.

Thanks Rob - Saints sidestepped the proverbial banana skin and go marchin' into the next round. Jags got an unfortunate dismissal but had their chances to at least take the game back to Fife. But no doubt about result of the round - the Red Lichties coming back from a goal down at Parkhead to take Celtic back to Gayfield for a replay - seagulls'll have a field day that night on the leftover Arbroath smokies.
