But hang on, ER, that article says "for every classic 0-0 draw there are at least 100 stinkers" (I think that's probably a serious underestimate). The thing is, you forget those stinkers after half an hour.

Btw, Chelsea seem to be getting into the habit - another scoreless draw tonight.

      Fair point.
That Holland Italy semi-final at Euro 2000 was a classic, the whole match is on you tube if you have a spare couple of hours.

      This evening.

Its 1-1 draws that annoy me, just at present !!
Oh well, could be the point that saves us in the end.

Why do teams not buy the very best goalkeeper they can afford?
And what has happened to the Refs in the PL? Clattenburg tonight. Incompetent. I know all teams think they get a rough deal, but the last 2 games have been a disgrace.

That Holland-Italy was indeed a belter, though does it constitute a nilnil with a penalty shoot-out? Anyway that there Bergkamp was such a great player in his day.
The legendary World Cup goal from Dennis Bergkamp during the '98 Quarterfinal of Netherlands vs. Argentina. Movie contains the commentary from Jack van Gelde...

Could be the missed 2 points that sinks you - A 0-0 on Sunday for us would be a point and a clean sheet - not things we've had much of lately.

You have had more reason than me recently - I'm hoping DJ can get us back on track - last time we changed managers at this time we we went down anyway - but I think we have a better side now and scope for additions in the 'window'. Next two are the league leaders away and a home six-pointer with Bristol City!

Plenty of games in the championship to turn it round. Sounds a tough little run coming up though.
One thing I was looking forward to in the PL was decent refs......oh dear !

les miserables innit RdM coulda got two goalless draws easily ... undoubtedly a better manager than Rafski in post Valencia days

Looks like if you want Roman's Roubles you Chelski fans are stuck with his Managerial manoeuverings - RdM's draws would probably have been 2-2s. Be positive if he took his money away you'd be back to yo-yoing in the Championship!

Another footballing weekend is almost upon us.
Good luck to all the forum teams.
The most interesting game however doesn't involve one of our sides.
Franchise fc v AFC Wimbledon on Sunday....the magic of the cup.... Wimbledon to win at odds of around 7.5/1 ? ......hmmmm.

The Premier League is getting a bit like the old Scottish Premier League with 2 teams from one city hogging the top two spots.
