We're a bit like Barcelona ... the odd, totally unexpected stumble along the season's path to glory.

A thrilling and by all accounts thoroughly deserved win for Southampton. Nigel Adkins had every right to look thoroughly pleased after the match.

A much needed win, and a convincing one at that, for Leicester City. I still say Ipswich will stay up under Mick McCarthy.

I'll leave ER to do a full round up, but generally a poorish day for the board, I think
None of the conference teams won. Cov seem to have turned a corner under Mark Robins, but the monkey hangers look in a terrible way.
        A decent point for York.

What a win for LCFC. We may be looking to them for some board silverware this season!
As for my lot, watched the game on a not too bad internet stream. We were excellent, and even our customary soft goal conceded couldn't stop us from totally dominating a poor QPR. We are playing some lovely football......lots of hope still for the future. Nige sure did look thrilled. He does things the right way.

I'd have much less sympathy were Mark Hughes dismissed. He has got through a lot if dosh but hasn't built a team in the manner of a Norwich or - and today proved it - Southampton.

watching Rangers today, you would have to wonder where the money went.(Mind you our £12m man hasn't really repaid his fee yet!)
I think you and Petrushka and AG could have invested rangers money more wisely !!

Thanks for the roundup, ER. Hereford just came up short in a close game. Good to see a win for Saints at last. And where did that Coventry result come from?

(By the way, I liked your post on the Neymayr penalty miss, which was made more amusing by the commentary. I liked Wolstenholme's commentary on the Pele dummy as well - it's clear that he just couldn't believe what he'd seen for a couple of seconds).

The Coventry result added to a long history of tragic Saturdays for HUFC which includes the infamous 10-1 thrashing by Ams boys!

And it's only November .......still delighted for teamsaint hope this is the start of something big.

I didn't like the result from the City Ground yesterday but loved Dave Jones' ironic quote:

"I keep checking under my car in the mornings to check I haven't run over a nun or a black cat."

Fulham v Sunderland later - I think (having missed a bit recently) Fulham could go 5th in the Premier League thing if they win.

There is Berbatov, to make it worthwhile . Now he is fun (in a lugubrious way).

Sorry didn't realise we had a QPR fan on board (and Fulham post #2307).
Both teams added to the list.

Also just realised I missed Chelsea losing at West Brom 2-1 from my original round up(sorry Calum).

Hmm. 3-1 down, Hangeland sent off and with Petric's injury and all subs used looks like we are down to 9. I think (hmm) we might lose this one .
