The Tractor Boys, and their long-suffering fans, have now endured their longest-ever run of home defeats. Although I moved from Ipswich many years ago, I still take an interest in the club's fortunes - I dunno what's gone wrong, but it's sure going to take some fixing.
Talking of fixing - I believe it was the Ipswich match that season that led to the jail sentences of three Wednesday players!

Bolton with our manager lost 2-1. Palace with no manager were giving Leicester their first home defeat of the season. All this happened while I was watching Rupert Everett do a fine job as Oscar Wilde in The Judas Kiss at the Theatre Royal Bath. I will go to bed happy tonight.

It's always a beautiful day when Aber beat Carmarthen.

Thanks for the round-up, ER. Not too bad a day overall for the board teams (you can't complain about an away point).
Hereford have a crunch local derby v Shrewsbury in the FA Cup next week - they need a Cup run to escape from a dire financial situation

Always quite spicy those Hereford Shrewsbury games I hear.
We have Southend away, can't see our cup run extending beyond that.
Remember travelling there for a league game years ago, took about 3 days to get home or so it seemed.

Do I need to add Aberystwyth to our list ?

as a general rule, the more local the derby, the nastier it is.

I heard a rugby League fan who was quoted as saying, i"f you think Celtic /Rangers is bad, wait till you have seen Batley against Hunslet."

Used to love the old floodlit cup.
No idea what was going on, but great to watch, in black and white, two teams totally covered in mud. proper sport that !

The Buds are still admiring that 89th minute 5-4 winner three or four weeks back and have stood still and let everyone sail past - suddenly we're 2nd bottom and only thankful for Dundee who are well adrift - mind you, a couple of wins and we'll be back in the top half.

Win for Newcastle but defeats for Chelsea and Southampton today.
                                Newcastle 2 West Brom 1
                                Chelsea 2 Manyoo 3
Southampton 1 Spurs 2 (it's going to be a long hard winter for the saints I fear).

Watched the Chelsea game on tv,pure entertainment.
