Hey Lat, unfortunate news - our big goalkeeping hero Big Hamish McAlpine has had a heart attack - it's the big news up here - front page of the Evening Tully tonight ( I saw it in a shop) - hope he deals as well with the heart attack as he did with the Hearts' attack in his years between the posts.
THE 64-year-old, who played almost 700 times for the Tannadice club, took ill earlier this week while trimming a hedge.

            That's terrible news John.

            I hope he pulls through.

Here's one of the best songs ever written* to help the healing process. Someone not far from here brought it to my attention :

Here's one about a legendary shot stopper for a Scotia club..

(I will let the York Town issue pass without comment but if I hear the misnomer Ross Hamlet it will be a different matter)

            * The best song ever written about football - no question - and from Scotland's Randy Newman (ish)

.........John - That Mick Marra is seriously underrated.

He writes wonderful lyrics - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqqgG5_T2eA

And sings traditional songs like no other - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Io-n-...eature=related

Thanks to you and Oilrig for the introduction.

              Can't speak too highly.

What a guy - a genuine guy! However, I'm hearing that he's no' in the best of health either, Lat....and the thing is that Michael is a Dundee fan and Big Hamish was an Arab God.

Poor old Leicester, stuffed by Burton Albion. Now for a really fascinating clash with Blackpool on Saturday.

On another topic, I was interested in knowing the result of Celtic's midweek Champions League play-off match, but there was no reference to any of these matches on the BBC's teletext service, either in the results section, or the headlines. Yet a British club had just reached the group stage of the Champions League. Would they have ignored Chelsea in this way?
