Today must be good news for composers and transcribers! I have now finished my transcription of Sibelius's Finlandia, for school concert band. I have also included a part for junior choir and organ. As my school has these, might as well make use of!

              Haha! :)

Many thanks people. I'll be having a short break from writing music, before I begin the next one.

Went to the docs yesterday, and everything going very well. I certainly feel that way. But I have to listen to what my body tells me. though, if I feel tired, which, is normally after lunch, I usually have a nap. So that does present a certain limitation of things during the daytime, unfortunately.

Cheers Ferney. I actually had a pint of beer last night. Badger best, which the ALC is quite low, probably 3.2%.

Undiscovered for centuries, the coffins were found in a hidden crypt in a medieval London church.

I'm sure most of us will be aware of this news today. At first I thought it was a joke and somebody had maybe mistaken Easter Sunday for April Fools' Day ?.

Natural cynicism aside, I had absolutely no idea that red bricks were around so long ago and those in the picture seem in remarkably good condition?

We live and we learn ...

When visiting Albi and its Cathedral many years ago I was surprised to learn that it was begun in 1282, took 200 years to complete and is the largest brick building in the world.

La Cité épiscopale d'Albi est un ensemble urbain de brique, unique par sa couleur, sa puissance et son harmonie.

That is extraordinary and quite revelatory to me at least ... makes Stockport Railway Viaduct seem positively modern ?.
