Have we ever linked Ilfracombe and Stalingrad on AA?

Antone know what a Spleen does? Does it serve any other purpose than that of being vented at regualr intervals?

Indeed, and it takes you to this:

The spleen is found on the left side of your body, behind the stomach on a level with the 9th to 11th ribs. It is similar to a lymph node. Written by a GP.

                ... very informative, thanks, Bbm

The expression "venting his spleen" occured earlier today in conversation - and nobody knew what the Spleen actually did (or where it was). A quick Wiki check didn't really help - this site was much better.

Yes it is and perhaps a useful alternative to the much demised NHS Choices site(I think that has closed down?)0

I heard a great joke yesterday...

Two Edinburgh ladies are travelling back to Morningside on a 16 bus via Princes Street having just had lunch at Jenners Department store when one says to the other "Lucinda, do you see that group of workmen over there - the ones working on the trams?"

"Oh yes, Effie". Lucinda replies. " You mean the ones leaning on their shovels?"

"Yes", says Effie. "Well, you'll never believe this but I was walking by the National Gallery the other day when one of them put their hand up my skirt!"

"Oh my goodness" says Lucinda. "Which one was it?"

"The grey, pleated one I got in the Jenners sale!" replies Effie.

I dunno; but they have to pay £12 to go past the checkout at Tesco.

Black with white stripes. This is because the 'natural' state is a coat with pigment (in this case, black), whereas the white stripes lack the pigmentation, showing them to be a mutant form.
