Not in this context, cloughie - having been totally stumped by anton's fiendish AA puzzler, I jokingly suggested that the people referred to there had all been called "the 5th Beatle". (anton's #726 suggested that I was right! )

Great news! I had a meeting with the Director of Music this morning, and he said he was very pleased with my transcription of Finlandia for the school's concert band! It will be peformed next term! I will try and get a film of it done and put up on YouTube.

So sorry to hear the biopsy was vicious, Bbm - I hope the results make it all worth it. (I'd add a - but you probably don't want any kind of contact just yet!)

                      Hiya maestro,

I know it's after the event but for my recent bone marrow biopsy at the Christie in addition to a local anaesthetic my daughter who works in the field suggested I ask for a sedative, which was given and I feel it made all the difference.

Hope you are ok BBM,all the best from me.

Well the news here is that I am now the owner of a shiny new Yamaha electric piano thingy.
The DIY music theory has paid off I think,I can already play through this Bach prelude, after a fashion, and veeeeery slooooowly.
I struggle a bit with notes that are off the stave, takes me a while to work out what and where they are on the keyboard.
I'm going to just do my own thing for a while then find a piano teacher.
Be a couple of weeks before I'm ready for Alkan.
