By mistake, last night I swallowed a bottle of Tippex instead of a bottle of Viagra.

This morning, I woke up with an enormous correction.

...and there's the one about the bloke who took a love-potion. It was so strong he got a stiff neck.

Ah yes, that's from the follow to The Scorcerer. Can't remember the patter song though.

They can't all be the same - because I've not experienced that except once. Try typing "find a tradesman" into a search engine such as Google. There are several websites with customer ratings of work done by tradesmen, and you can leave your job specs and location or else contact them direct.

If you are a member of Which? you should have free access to their sister-site Which Local? ...where I get most of my people from. Former clients' feedback has proved useful in terms of both quality of work, and rates.

There's a lot to be said for living in the country and being on friendly first name terms with your electrician and plumber. Round next day at the latest!

Pet & others: if you don'y have the luxury of RT's personal network, this site is useful: http://www.checkatrade.com/

I've used a contractor sourced on that site and very good they were. Other family members say the same.

That's not 'contractor' in the Edward Snowden sense, I take it?!
