Plumbers. Heating engineers. We've been trying since last October (I kid you not) for one to come round to complete a non-urgent task, which, while non-urgent now, may become very urgent indeed if left. They're all the same. You ring up, leave a message - no response. Ring another - 'come round in 10 days, mate' - still waiting three weeks later. And so it goes on. Any other business offering this level of customer service would have gone bust years ago.
