(I was told this by my stationers - the same ones who provide me with Carbon paper and Banda Masters!)

Quite cloudy and muggy today, with a couple of rain flurries.
Was the thinner (1,1,1 Trichloroethane) not banned because too many people were sniffing it, or drinking it, or something?

Banda - there's a blast from the past! Are these machines still in use? Presumably then Gestetner are also.

The Prom that night was mainly of twentieth century French music performed by the BBC Scottish.
Runnicles conducting a not too bad Daphnis - were boarders commenting on it or 'chatting' to avoid it?

... I call them "frocks". Mme V tells me they are now called "dresses". And apparently "blouses" are now "shirts".

Language changes. But I feel I'm stuck in the 1950s.

It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
