    Or the Scots.....Come on Andy!
Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it.

Sure Lisicki's played well, and deserved her place in the final but whenever anyone gets such overwhelming support for tenuous reasons, I invariably find myself supporting the underdog....eh bien, Allez Marion!
You are right in many ways. I am in very grave danger of being accused of illogicality (heaven forbid!) in supporting Lisicki partly because of her heart-warming demeanour and, at the same time, berating those who refuse to cheer on Murray because of his apparent lack of it.

However Lisicki is in the Final on merit, and started as a clear underdog, and, if that is combined that with an attractive face and personality, one can well understand why she is now a big favourite with fans. The lack of professionalism and blatant partiality of our sports commentators has now become so common it no longer raises the proverbial eyebrow.

Simply another indication of the general fall in standards at the BBC, whether it be BBC One or Radio 3 ... ?

I went off Janowicz as soon as he started to throw a petulant strop about the roof, thinking that Andy was losing the plot a little and that if the roof was closed he'd win as he always plays best on a closed court. So I was very pleased he got his comeuppence!

I don't mind who wins either final now. I'll feel a bit sorry for Murray if he doesn't, because he will feel he's disappointed the crowd, I suppose.

It's only a game. Not worth getting worked up about.

Although Lisicki seems to be favourite Bartoli is currently ranked 15 and Lisicki 24. I think Lisicki is great but she is brittle, as shown against Radwanska.

Disappointed the crowd AND Garry Richardson, Mary

                Now there's a double-edged sword

I shall not be looking forward to the next few years of Janowicz being in the top 20.....those rapid serves from a great height are VERY BORING.....had it been anything other than Murray, and anything other than a S/Final , I would not have bothered watching....shades of Rosco Tanner from the 70's....(Goodness that Polish rhythmic clapping was VERY VERY IRRITATING.... like Janowicz it gradually petered out....)

Sir Velo....I watched the Lisicki v Radw' match twice....and did not hear Sam Smith say that either time....which set??

It just happens that I can't abide Murray. And the gruesome pro-Murray camp ( " 'cos he's Scottish - 'cos he's British " ) just adds to my dislike.

I like France and Germany about equally as countries, but if the crowd shows too much favour to Lisicki I think I'll support
                        Bartoli.

To complicate matters slightly, Lisicki's family is of Polish origin and Bartoli is Corsican.

In that case it'll have to be Lisicki.

At present it's all too upsetting to watch.
