And, again, to Bbm and anyone else who shares today's date.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Indeed GG - sharing a birthday is one thing but I wish I had his keyboard (and composition) skills.

Shame he's now Lord above, however!

My dad came from Ewell, near Epsom, and we often went to the Derby. All my pocket money wasted
I was born three days after Lester Piggott rode his first Derby winner, three days before Barbirolli and the Halle made their 1954 recording of the Elgar 2nd Symphony, exactly one week before the premiere of the Vaughan Williams Tuba Concerto and 10 years (minus 24 hours) after D-Day.

Easy to see where my love of horse racing, classical music and World War 2 history come from!

I share my exact birthday with cricketer Phil Neale and chef Simon Hopkinson.

Pet - if Gordon Richards rode Pinza I was there.

Can't remember the year - well if I can confess my birthdate why should you worry
