Yes. Please do keep on topic. Start a new thread to discuss general musical items.

If every thread always kept on topic this would be a rather uninteresting place!

but this is a thread with a very clearly defined title unlike some musical discussions, and many attempts have been made to keep the thread on topic. Can we please keep on topic? It can’t be that difficult?

He of course played Pines of the Appian Way.
          Wrong Thread, Bbm?

Please remember that for general discussions, of a non-musical nature, but not political, can be found in The General Chat Room, which seems to be forgotten about.

Indeed! Well can this be transferred to DID?

After a bit of trial and error, I discovered that it can, Bbm - and so duly has!

(But I think we should desist from off-topic posts complaining about off-topic posts: I'm going to start an "Complain About Off-Topic Posts" Thread so that people can post such complaints there. And maybe an "Off-Topic" Thread; see how long everyone stays on topic there!

... indeed so - I'm all in favour of digression.

One of my all-times heroes is Pierre Bayle.

The most interesting parts of his masterwork are to be found hidden away in digressions in his monumental footnotes...

One I miss hearing from is Anna. She was a refreshing member of the forum, from central Wales.

An unusual interpretation of "central", or even "Wales", if I might be so bold. I'll say no more though.
