Very best wishes to salymap. I hope she does feel better soon, though not necessarily waking up in the middle of the night to listen to TTN. There was a time when I thought we were the only two listening.

    Best wishes to gamba also.

(And you're right about Ensure Plus - I once sampled the "banana": tasted like a mixture of powdered egg and saccharine! (Though very useful for holding the bathroom tiles in place whilst the adhesive "took"! )
I do hope that Gamba and salymap will get to full health soon. I have elderly parents, so I do know what problems our older friends come across.

Any update on Ams? It’s been two weeks since the last news. Or have I missed his latest post?

The last message I got from him he said that he had to get a new router, and that he was going to take a bit of a sabatical from the forum.

Thank you for the information. If you get a chance, can you give him my best wishes and tell him I look forward to his returning to the forum.

I don't think we've seen Cloughie since the very end of last year? Hopefully just a sensible New Years Resolution.....

Have recently progressed from a Zimmer to two walking sticks. Not allowed to climb stairs to computer, have to use horrible little ipad. Young ladies visit each day to help wash me down under the shower. Would that I was 29 & not 92 !
All sorts of items arriving for kitchen, bedroom, bathroom etc. as gifts from our generous local council's care policy. Also a variety of people each day to advise on possible problems & help in dealing with them. Stil dizziness, pain & considerable weakness with little more than paracetamol for relief.
Consultant gives me 2 years - wish I'd never asked. Something called MDS.

Have plans to acquire one of these weird little 4- wheeled scooters & watch & wait for what is now referred to as street photography. Have developed a method of getting unobtrusive pictures with a normal camera & have much to capture in my nearest town. Problem is disguising my scooter !

                  'Bye, gamba

Lovely to hear you are acquiring new things and making progress gamba - I had a PM from Salymap / Jenny and she asked me to pass on her best wishes.

Good to know that you are making progress, and that your council can still provide the help & support you need (although the young ladies sound a bit dubious )

I think age renders one invisible anyway, & if you do get into trouble taking pictures you'll be able to make a quick getaway on your scooter

                          Flosshilde,

After 2 months in hospital with a serious health problem, you get used to nudity, even having your bottom wiped. Nothing, absolutely nothing results in embarresment - just as well.

If people show any reaction, I show them the picture on my camera, also some newspaper cuttings from my last public .exhibition - they are usually delighted, if not, I will destroy the picture. It's never happened yet I'm pleased to say.

Anyway, thank you for kind thoughts

                            Very often the best sort!

Delighted to hear from Gamba - especially about the street photography. (The Tobias Hume remains a firm favourite - frequently bringing solace chez Ferney.)

My grateful thanks to you ferney. I have long felt extremely lacking in my behaviour in not replying to your letter.
It went, I must have deleted it accidentally, using this awful ipad & quite simply, not knowing what I was doing.. anyway
I know now & am pleased it had & I hope, will have a similar effect upon others. After all, this is an example of the wealth of feeling music can have. No great composer, just an ordinary soldier - but with talent & understanding.

With all good wishes to you, gamba
