Anyone seen Mr Pee, Ressurectioman, aninspectorcalls, Mandyrika, Scottycelt and Lateralthinking1?

The forum seems to have lost something valuable with not having them around.

Mr Pee pops in from time to time. Of the rest there is no sign.

Agreed - jlw's absences have often been caused by bouts of ill health, but she has always returned as vigorous as ever; I hope this is going to be the case this time, too.

I greatly miss 8ob's gloriously barmy (and ever-insightful) posts and sincerely hope that this is entirely owing to a lovely extended holiday near a beach without internet access. The forum's not the same without the benevolent observations from a cyberhill very near me.

And re Monsieur l'amateur: lest ye fret, he's sauntered down to the jolly old Rhône-Alpes for his hols...
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                  Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Such a pity that she appears to have left after the fallout with Ariosto. Has anyone been in contact to try and persuade her back? It saddens me when really worthwhile people leave in such circumstances.

                    PLEASE COME BACK JLW!
                    I very much agree!

I think that, in spite of their online personas, both JLW and Ariosto are quite sensitive and easily hurt. Both have a great deal to contribute and I hope they both return soon.

A little bird tells me he has been in touch with jlw who appears to be well and simply taking a sabbatical from the public forum.

With a bit of luck, the Proms may lure her back into the fray!

                        This is good news, indeed.

Wether or not your reading this, JLW, but you are very much missed. I do missed your fantastic usage of the English language to tell us about your views on various topics!

And, coming from someone whose own use of the English language is fantastic in itself, this is some compliment! Come back at your own pace, jlw - but I hope that pace is a quick one.
