Ariosto
Mr Hazlewood! Crossover? School crossing attendant? Helping the kids safely over the road? Excellent work.
However, Barbirollians, one should never be too hard on conductors - they do a valuable job distracting the audience, especially in the difficult bits, when the orchestra quite rightly should take some flack ...

Does anyone have any news of Jayne Lee Wilson? She has not posted since March 3 and I hope I'm not right to be concerned about her continued prolonged absence from this Forum. Her reviews are one of the treasures of the Forum and I greatly miss them.
FF, is there any way that news can be obtained?"The sound is the handwriting of the conductor" - Bernard Haitink

She did say she was 'very busy' last time she posted. It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Not exactly missing persons as I see they pop in from time to time but I notice that the number of posts from Caliban and Ferneyhoughgeliebte has greatly diminished in recent weeks and I see that JLW has disappeared after the spat with Ariosto.
Hope all are well and look forward to seeing you all back very soon."The sound is the handwriting of the conductor" - Bernard Haitink

Very kind of all... Am currently on a road trip around Western France, from the Ile-de-Ré last week to the North coast of Brittany - this is written via the first bit of WiFi for a while, in Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer http://www.map-france.com/Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer-22750/
The iPod is firmly plugged into the new motor, and there has been much Poulenc, Couperin and local boy Paul Ladmirault http://www.musicweb-international.co...Ladmirault.htm
Santé to all"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
