incidentally, i know the secret to getting a move completed quickly. Book it for the day of a major England match. We moved on the day of the England /Germany semi final of Euro 96.

The vans were unloaded and gone in the blink of an eye !!

Doesn't work in Scotland for some reason.

One of my (many) moves was over a distance of about a mile. The night before the Big Day I put the hi fi equipment, the TV, and the contents of the drinks cupboard in the car and ensured they were all safely installed in the new mangerton headquarters. I poured myself a celebratory g & t, and thought, "That's it really". Then, "Dammit, no ice!"

BBM, I hope it all goes well, and that the sun shines on your endeavours.
